The Fremantle Port Swimming Club is the 3rd oldest swimming club in Perth and has a proud history. The club is based at Fremantle Leisure Centre (owned by Fremantle City Council) and is ideally located for the convenience of many of its patrons and club members.
The club disbanded in 2015 during an upgrade to the Fremantle Leisure Centre facilities and reformed in 2017 setting its sights on rebuilding the club back to its former glory! The club swimmers have a new coaching team led by a highly experienced head coach Simon Redmond of Aquatic International.
The FPSC offers a competitive pathway to its swimmers while also focusing on providing a family friendly culture, being a club that supports each swimmer and to encourage a long association with swimming.
FPSC’s main focus is to benefit members by:
- Providing a safe and fun environment for our members to swim
- Organising Club Days and Social membership events
- Handles the administration, membership and new registrations for the Club
- Acting as a liaison between FPSC, Aquatic International and Swimming WA
- Providing, through the coaching team, support for our swimmers at targeted events
- Expanding swimming opportunities from the pool to the ocean to enable swimmers to reach their true potential at whatever swimming activity they wish to pursue
The Committee would like to wish all our current members every success for the 2023/2024 season and to all prospective members, please feel free to contact FPSC with any queries you may have, we’d love to welcome you on board!
